Joseph Paul Green

A Silver Creek man was in jail without bond Sunday night after police called to the scene of a disturbance found drugs on him, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Joseph Paul Green, 52, of 628 Old Rockmart Road, is facing numerous charges after throwing a frozen Gatorade bottle, which hit the victim’s arm and left a mark. Officers called to the scene searched Green, finding two Hydrocodone pills, a small bag of methamphetamine and another bag of marijuana.

While being led to a patrol car, Green began verbally assaulting the victim and the victim’s son.

Green is facing one felony count of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and one felony count of possession of methamphetamine.

He is also charged with misdemeanor simple battery, third degree cruelty to children, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and disorderly conduct.
