A Rome woman is spending the Memorial Day holiday in the Floyd County Jail after her arrest on multiple charges.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Christina Diana Sheppard, 35, of 101 W. Laurel Ave., was arrested Saturday night at her home following an altercation.
Police allege Sheppard broke a number of household items that didn’t belong to her and kicked a 75-year-old victim several times. When police arrested just before 7 p.m. Saturday night, Sheppard is alleged to have kicked and fought with officers.
She is charged with felony obstruction of law enforcement officers, a felony parole violation and misdemeanor counts of simple battery and disorderly conduct.
She was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Sunday.
