A Rome woman was released from jail Saturday on a $7,900 bond after police say she struck an elderly woman in the breast, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Pamela Jane Gibbons, 47, of 107 Jim Lee Drive, is charged with felony obstruction of an officer and misdemeanor abuse, neglect or exploitation of a disabled or elderly person.
She is accused of hitting the woman and then trying to take the victim’s phone away.
Gibbons also kicked the arresting officer in the shins several times on Friday.
Police also charged Gibbons with obstructing or hindering persons making an emergency telephone call, simple battery, public drunk and third-degree cruelty to children because her child was present.
