A Rome woman was in jail without bond after using an elderly woman’s checkbook to write a check for her own power bill, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Shericka Niesha Finley, 29, of 528 Branham Ave., was arrested at her home and charged with three counts of felony cruelty to persons 65 years or older.
Finley also used the elderly woman’s checks for other personal goods and services. She is also charged with four counts of misdemeanor theft by taking, four counts of fourth-degree forgery and theft by deception.
