Rome man charged with aggravated child molestation

A Rome man has been jailed after allegedly using electronic devices to seduce a child to perform acts of a sexual nature.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Clayton Samuel Lewis, 46, of 35 Plantation Drive, was arrested Thursday afternoon when he went to a location for the purpose of meeting with what he believed was a child for the purpose of committing sexual acts.

Documents indicate the criminal contacts occurred between Feb. 1 and 8.

Lewis, who is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond, was charged with aggravated child molestation and use of a computer to solicit a child to commit indecent acts.
