A Rome man remained in jail Sunday without bond after being accused of threatening to kill a woman and firing a gun inside a home.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
John Carlton Gant, 60, of 53 Acorn Road, was arrested Saturday at 10:07 p.m. at his home after he pointed a gun at a woman and threatened to kill her. He was drunk and fired the gun inside the house, but didn’t hit anyone.
Gant is charged with the felonies aggravated assault and terroristic threats, and misdemeanor reckless conduct and discharging a firearm while under the influence.
