A Rome man remained in jail Monday without bond after being accused of hitting a woman and damaging a police car.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Gary Anthony Marshall Jr., 36, of 208 Grover St., was arrested at his home Sunday at 11:50 a.m. on charges that he hit a woman in the mouth, making her bleed, in front of her young son. Marshall resisted arrest and once he was placed in the backseat of the patrol car, repeatedly kicked the rear window until it shattered.
Marshall is charged with felony interference with government property, three misdemeanor counts of obstruction, a misdemeanor count of battery under the Family Violence Act and misdemeanor cruelty to children in the third degree.
