A Rome man remained in jail Sunday without bond after being accused of assaulting another man, according to Floyd County Jail reports.
According to reports:
Kenneth Eugene Ballard, 37, of 182 Branson Road, was arrested at his home Sunday at 11:29 a.m. after he grabbed a man, placed him in a headlock and put a knife near his neck.
After arresting Ballard, officers found a white pill in his left pocket.
Ballard is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Ballard also is charged with a misdemeanor count of simple battery under the Family Violence Act.
