Report: Two arrested with over a pound of marijuana, gun and $2,233 cash

Floyd County police have arrested two men after a road stop on Rainwood Circle and found over a pound of marijuana packaged for sale, a pistol as well as $2,233 in cash, according to reports.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Justin Douglas Blalock, 20, of 26 Rainwood Circle, Silver Creek and Justin Nelson Neal, 23, of 825 Ashland Park Boulevard were arrested around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at 26 Rainwood Circle after police stopped a vehicle that was being operated in a suspicious manner.

Police detected an odor of marijuana from the vehicle and found more than a pound of marijuana in smaller packets along with a set of digital scales.

Police found a Glock .357 caliber a door pocket as well as two ammo magazines. 

Blalock and Neal were each charged with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and misdemeanor possession of drug related objects.

Both Neal and Blalock were being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Wednesday.
