A Rome man was in jail without bond Tuesday night after being accused of telling a woman he’d kill her earlier in the day at a home in the 2800 block of Old Summerville Road.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Patrick Wayne Westmoreland, 47, of 120 Hennon Drive, was arrested around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. During the fight, he picked up a bicycle and held it over his head, intimating that he was going to strike her with it.
After arriving on the scene, police found a smoking device with marijuana in it on him.
Westmoreland is charged with felony terroristic threats and acts under the Family Violence Act, along with misdemeanor possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
