Thaddeus Lamon Jackson

A West Rome man was arrested Thursday afternoon after being accused of hitting a woman several times while she was trying to call for help.

According to jail reports:

Thaddeus Lamon Jackson, 41, of 1349 Redmond Circle, was at a location on Dean Avenue around 1:45 p.m. when he became embroiled in a dispute with a 47-year-old woman.

When the victim attempted to call 911, Jackson struck her several times, leaving visible injuries. The victim’s office chair was also broken during the altercation.

Jackson is charged with felony hindering an emergency call and misdemeanor simple battery and criminal trespassing.

Jackson was in jail pending the posting of a $5,700 bond.
