A Rome man was in jail without bond Sunday night after police said he held a woman against her will and kicked out a window of a patrol car.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Robert Aaron Thomas, 38, of 302 Wright St., is charged with felony false imprisonment, felony interference with government property and the misdemeanors battery under the Family Violence Act, third-degree cruelty to children and obstruction of an officer.
He was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night at his home.
Thomas is accused of keeping a woman in the kitchen by force. He slapped and punched her, injuring her lip, in front of a 1-year-old child.
When police arrived, he refused to obey orders, resisted arrest and kicked out the back window of the patrol car.
