A Rome man accused of going to a woman’s residence after a judge ordered him to stay away remained in jail Wednesday on a stalking charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Thomas Michael Haney, 59, of 704 Turner Chapel Road, had no bond set on a felony aggravated stalking charge.
Police said he went to the house on the morning of Jan. 18 after a temporary protective order had been issued.
Haney had a phone — reported stolen — that belonged to the victim, and it had been damaged while in his possession.
