A Rome man who allegedly threatened to wreck a vehicle was arrested late Friday night on a felony count of making terroristic threats.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jauan Rashaun Porter, 21, of 453 Mountain View Drive, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of the Kingston Highway and Morrison Campground Road.
Porter supposedly threatened to wreck the vehicle he was driving in order to kill himself and the woman who was in the vehicle with him.
Porter was also charged with misdemeanor simple assault. He was being held in the Floyd County jail Saturday night pending a $5,700 bond.
