A Rome man was released from jail Thursday night on a $5,700 bond after his arrest on felony charges of destruction of property, following a fight with another man in his home.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Tommy Darrell Dabbs, 53, of 303 Leland Ave., grabbed a 48-year-old man by the throat, hit him in the face and prevented him from calling 911. He also caused an estimated value of $1,500 in damages to the victim’s TV and laptop during the Wednesday fight.
Dabbs is charged with felony criminal damage to property and the misdemeanors battery under the Family Violence Act (first offense) and hindering a person from making an emergency call.
