Three men are facing felony aggravated assault charges under the Family Violence Act in separate incidents that happened Sunday morning.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Christopher Lee Reed, 46, of 288 Summerville Road in Armuchee, choked a woman during an argument at his home. He is charged with felony aggravated assault.
Mauro Nicholas Cruz, 25, of 303 McDonald St., threw a woman to the ground, choked her, hit her in the back with a large piece of wood and damaged the windshield of her car with a brick. The assault happened at his house in front of two juveniles, ages 17 and 3.
Cruz is charged with the felonies aggravated assault and terroristic threats and the misdemeanors of battery under the FVA, criminal trespass and two counts of cruelty to children.
Josef Alexandra Brady, 39, of 209 Chateau Drive, Apt. C-1, tried to strangle a woman, causing visible bodily harm, in front of a 10-year-old child. He is charged with felony aggravated assault and the misdemeanors cruelty to children and battery under the FVA. He’s also facing three counts of obstruction for resisting arrest.
