A Cave Spring man is being held without bond after he allegedly assaulted a woman late Friday night, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

John Steven LeCroy, 36, 12 Mill St., stabbed at the woman with a screwdriver, causing a noticeable scratch on her abdomen, and also “body slammed” her onto a concrete surface.

LeCroy fled the scene upon police arrival but was later caught. The incident occurred in front of four children.

LeCroy is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, and aggravated battery under the Family Violence Act, as well as four counts of felony third-degree cruelty to children and misdemeanor willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.

He is being held on a probation violation.
