A Rome man surrendered himself to authorities at the Floyd County Jail Friday night to face charges stemming from a November burglary at a residence on Dodd Boulevard.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Curtis Emmanuel Watkins, 38, of 1509 Flannery St., is accused of breaking into an apartment on Dodd Boulevard through a window around 1:15 a.m. on Nov. 6. He choked the female victim causing superficial injuries to her neck and throat. Watkins also allegedly struck the woman in a thigh with his fist, causing swelling.
Watkins was charged with felony burglary in the first degree felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor battery.
Watkins was being held at the Floyd County Jail Saturday night Saturday night without bond.
