A Rome man remained in jail Sunday without bond after being accused of entering a woman’s home and hitting her.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Marcus Cantrell Wedgeworth, 26, of 214 Grady St., was arrested early Sunday morning at the victim’s house after he repeatedly punched her in the arm, broke her phone and held a pillow over her face.
He did this in front of an infant that was also in the home.
Wedgeworth is charged with felony aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and misdemeanor counts of battery, cruelty to children and criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act.
