A Lindale man was in jail without bond Friday night after being accused of hitting a woman in the face as well as choking her, putting her in “fear of her life,” reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Cortney Keon Jackson, 35, of 223 Spur 101, was arrested Friday on charges stemming from the Sept. 23, 2017, incident.
The blow to the woman’s face left marks. He additionally held her down and “intentionally allowed” a child under the age of 18 to watch the incident.
Jackson is charged with felony aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and false imprisonment. He is additionally charged with misdemeanor battery under the FVA and third-degree cruelty to children.
