More details were released Tuesday on the alleged crime of an Alpharetta man who turned himself in at the jail Monday to face a felony aggravated assault charge.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jonathan Hayes Hackett, 36, of 198 Gale Crest Drive, Alpharetta, had intent to kill a man when he beat him on the face on July 11, around 7 p.m.
Hackett told the man he was going to kill him as he beat him, leading to the man’s face becoming bloodied from open cuts and also causing bruising.
At the time, Hackett was living with the man at a Peeples Road residence in Silver Creek.
Hackett remained in jail without bond Tuesday.
