A Rome man remained in jail Monday without bond after being accused of choking and biting a woman during a fight.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Dustin Wayne Salmon, 33, of 404 Woods Road, was arrested Sunday at 8:57 p.m. at his home after he choked a woman, causing her to pass out and leaving bruises on her neck. He also bit the woman on her back.
This happened in the presence of a child under 18.
Salmon is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor battery under the Family Violence Act and cruelty to children in the third degree.
