A Silver Creek man remained in jail Wednesday after being arrested on multiple warrants for offenses under the Family Violence Act, according to Floyd County Jail reports.
According to the reports:
Jonathan Eugene Sutton, 29, of 5C Woodruff St., was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly choked and hit a woman on Feb. 3. He also tried to hit the victim with a steel and wooden shovel during the fight. The fight took place in front of the couple’s young child.
Sutton was charged with felony aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and misdemeanor counts of battery under the Family Violence Act and cruelty to children under the Family Violence Act. He is being held on $11,200 bond.
