A Lindale man was jailed after allegedly breaking into his former place of em-ployment with the intent to steal metal items.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
James Franklin Madrie Jr., 32, of 29 Jack Street, entered a business on the Rockmart Road on October 1 with the intent to steal metal from his former em-ployers.
A warrant for his arrest said Madrie was telling another employee that he was going into the business that night to take items from the building.
He is also accused of taking a gas card from his former employer’s vehicle during an incident that occurred September 15. He supposedly used the card at various locations around Floyd County to purchase gas for his personal vehicle.
Madrie was charged with felony burglary in the second degree, felony financial transaction card theft, and felony probation violation and misdemeanor theft by taking from a vehicle.
He was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Tuesday morning.
