A Lindale man was in jail without bond after he confronted a woman who had a protection order out against him, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Travis Darrell Newberry, 48, of 2915 Maple Road, was at the Golden Gallon convenience store on Maple Road when he ran into a woman he knew had a protection order out against him on Tuesday. Newberry confronted the woman and said, “Are you seriously here?”
Newberry then hit her in the face with a lit cigarette, leaving a burnt mark under her eye.
Newberry is charged with aggravated stalking, influencing a witness and battery.
