$2,500 in tools reported stolen from unlocked truck

A man called police Sunday afternoon to report tools had been stolen from his vehicle while he shopped.

According to Rome Police Department reports:

An officer was called to a reported theft in the Harbor Freight parking lot, 2112 Shorter Ave., where a victim said $2,500 in plumbing tools had been taken from his truck.

The GMC Sonoma pickup was unlocked with the windows down and the tools were in the front seat.
