A Floyd County Public Works employee faces felony charges after he reportedly gave prohibited items to inmates on his work detail.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jonathan Samuel Evans, 27, of 224 Walenda Drive, was released from jail Tuesday on a $11,200 bond.
Evans was arrested Monday on a felony warrant accusing him of providing food and tobacco to inmates on work details he supervised during the month of July.
The warrant also alleges that Evans allowed inmates to use his personal cellphone on multiple occasions.
He is charged with felony items prohibited for possession by inmates.
