A Cedartown man fired off shots inside a Black’s Bluff Road home while others were inside it on Thanksgiving morning, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Clayton Fugate, 43, of 569 Tallapoosa Highway, was arrested around 1 a.m. Thursday. He had been drinking when he pointed the gun at a man in the house, and then proceeded to fire off a few rounds inside.
He is charged with felony aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is additionally charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct, discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and simple battery under the Family Violence Act.
Fugate was in jail without bond Thursday night.
