A Cedartown man accused of choking his girlfriend at a Rome restaurant remained in jail Saturday night without bond, Floyd County Jail reports state.
According to jail records:
Joel Dale Sisson, 31, of 616 Smith Ave., was at Wow Cafe and Wingery, 2817 Martha Berry Highway, at 9:30 p.m. Friday. While there he choked his 29-year-old girlfriend and hit her in the presence of a 14-year-old child.
Sisson left the scene intoxicated. Authorities later found him with an open container in the passenger floor board of his vehicle.
Sisson is charged with aggravated assault, DUI, driving while license suspended or revoked, battery, third-degree child cruelty and open container violation.
