2 accused of injecting drugs, leaving them around baby

A man and a woman were arrested Friday after being accused of injecting various drugs while taking care of a 5-month-old baby.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Hamilton Blake Sutton, 42, and Maggie Nichole Hubbard, 35, both of 4 Floyd St., were arrested around 1:28 p.m. Friday. Police found Adderall pills and marijuana in their home, and the drugs, along with a needle, were in the presence of the baby.

The child was taken into the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services.

Both are charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and second-degree cruelty to children. They are additionally charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Both were in jail without bond Friday night.
