Two women and a man remained in jail with no bond Sunday after being accused of trespassing at a woman’s home and assaulting her, according to Floyd County Jail reports.
According to reports:
Octavia Kemwada Kahn, Demonte Tywon Penn and Jeannette Penn, all of Rome, were arrested Sunday at 11:20 a.m. at an East Drive address.
Jeannette Penn was told to leave the home earlier that morning, but she returned with Kahn, Demonte Penn and two children. Jeannette Penn had a large knife which she used to threaten a woman while the woman was holding a 1-year-old child. She hit the woman and the woman’s child in the face several times with her fist.
Jeannette Penn, 62, of 325 Edgewood Ave., was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and one felony count of cruelty to children. She was also charged with two misdemeanor counts each of cruelty to children in the third degree and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Demonte Tywon Penn, 23, of 325 Edgewood Ave., was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass.
Kahn, 38, was charged with a felony count of party to the crime of aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
