Mr. William David Law, age 73, of Centre, passed away Tuesday, November 7, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 10, at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Davis and Dr. George Cobb officiating; burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers include Jim Cooper, Charles Laney, Claude Corbin, Lane Stinson, Bill Lumpkin, Lynn Hunnicut, and Bobby Doeg.
Honorary Pallbearers include Bobby Wood, Bob Peppers, Herb Brown, J.L. Lewis, and Bell South/AT&T Employees.
Survivors include wife, Joan Erwin Law; mother-in-law, Mae Wyche Byrd, of Rome, Ga.; nephews, Mark Law, of Rome, Ga., Chip Law, of Raleigh, N.C., and Ryan Law, of Glade Valley, N.C.; cousins, the Jones family, of Centre; special friends, the Corbin family, of Centre.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Hugh Clyde Law Jr., and sister, Almeda Law Myntti.
Mr. Law was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Hugh and Edith Totherow Law Sr., and was a member of Centre First United Methodist Church. In 2000, Mr. Law retired from Bell South. He was also a lifetime member of Georgia Utilities Coordinating Council and the Alabama Forestry Association.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centre First United Methodist Church.
