Susan Morgan Moss Cunningham, age 77, of Auburn, Ala., passed away October 25, 2017, following a short illness.
She was born in Rome, Ga. in July 1940, daughter of the late John and Eola Morgan of Cave Spring. A graduate of the Rome High School Class of 1958, she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. and later Earned a BS/RN degree at the University of West Georgia. She retired in 2009 from East Alabama Mental Health.
Ms. Cunningham was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack S. Moss, of Rome; her second husband, Robert Cunningham, of Auburn; and her daughter, Joanne Moss Chewning, who passed away in July 2015.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary “Jaye” O’Brien (Richard), of Fayetteville, Ga., and Jackie Moss Pitts, of Valley, Ala.; a son, Thomas Harley Moss, of Chatham, Va.; sisters, Vivian Toles (Bobby), of Rome and her twin sister, Joanne McMichael, of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; a brother, Jack Morgan (Dorothy), of Rome. She was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
At her request, Ms. Cunningham was cremated and a private memorial service was held October 27, 2017 at Gardens of Fayetteville. Memorial donations may be made to Southern Grace Hospice, 384 Racetrack Road, McDonough, Ga. 30252.
