Mrs. Margaret Cain Turner, age 87, of Rome, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Turner was born in Polk County, Ga. on May 13, 1929, daughter of the late Robert and Katie Abney Cain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Allen Turner on August 28, 2002, and by six brothers, Claude, Clinton, Alfred, Charles, Herman, and Calvin. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker and was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where she was active in the Joy Club and the Adult Women’s Sunday School Class.

Survivors include two sons, Harvey Allen Turner, and his wife, Kim, Martinsville, Ind., and Sandy Turner, and his wife, Kelly, Kingston; three grandchildren, Jeff Turner, and his wife, Leea, Whiteland, Ind., Stephanie Goans, and her husband, Matt, Columbia, Mo., and Tyler Turner, Raleigh, N.C.; four great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Adams and the Rev. Jim Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. At other hours, they may be contacted at their respective homes.

Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and include: Jeff Turner, Tyler Turner, Larry Cain, Ronnie Turner, Greg Turner, and Billy Ray Turner.
