George Goss

George “Buck” Russell Goss, 70, passed away January 10, 2017 in Hemphill, Texas. Buck was born July 12, 1946 to parents Johnny Henry and Syble (Patterson) Goss in Bartow County, Georgia. He finally met his match and soul mate, Sharyn, and they married March 30, 1996 joining their families as one. Buck was a dedicated and hard worker as a project manager in the construction industry. He took pride in building and remodeling his family home. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with nature fishing and hunting. Most of all, Buck’s favorite times was when the whole family would be together at his home so he could cook and spend time with the ones he loved. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Cavazos; son, Tony Smith; sister, Wynell Barker and brother, John Henry Goss. Buck is lovingly survived by his wife of 21 years, Sharyn Goss; children, Chad Merrit Goss and wife Dallas, Jamey Russell Goss and wife Miranda, Tanna Denise Goss, Chad D.R. Goss, Betty Spaugh, Glenn Brown; brothers, Thomas “Bud” Goss and wife Frances, Phillip “Buster” Goss and wife Nancy; sister, Nancy Jane Smith; special friend, Paul Davis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; extended family members and friends. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation Friday, January 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Funeral services officiated by Pastor Elton Beck will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
