Mrs. Edna Jackson Blalock, age 71, of Spanish Fort, Ala., formerly of Lindale, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Blalock was born in Floyd County on April 3, 1946, daughter of the late Lum Dennis "Jack" Jackson and the late Annie Lou Studdard Jackson. She retired from Cooper Lighting in Peachtree City, Ga. and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Clark, and her husband, Brian, Spanish Fort, Ala.; two sons, Timothy R. Blalock, and his wife, Janet, Rome, and Mark J. Blalock, Ellaville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Colton Clark and Wade Clark, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Emily Blalock, Rome, and Samantha Blalock and Bryce Blalock, both of Ellaville, Ga.; a brother, Dennis Ray Jackson, and his wife, Linda, Cartersville; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the graveside in Floyd Memory Gardens. The Rev. Dennis Jackson Jr. will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon.
