Charles Franklin Alexander Jr.

Mr. Charles Franklin Alexander Jr., also known as “Bubba”, age 77, of Woodstock, Ga., passed away on September 29, 2017. Charles was born on December 23, 1939 in Rome, Ga. to the late Charles and Christine Alexander. In high school, he played football. After finishing school, Charles remained active in sports, playing golf, bowling, throwing darts, and also playing pool. Charles had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed skydiving and boating. At a young age, he even obtained a pilot’s license.

As he grew older, Charles became more calm and self-reserved, but was never afraid to share his opinion. He graduated from Rome High School in 1958 and continued to attend yearly reunions with his high school class. He also met once a week with his dear friend, Charlie Baker. He was a retired electrical engineer who worked for the Austin Company and also retired from A.H.A. Consulting Co.

Charles leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Susan R. Alexander; daughter, Catherine Davis (Stevan); granddaughter, Liz Keller; grandsons, Joseph Davis and Stevan Davis; and sister, Mary Joyce Fowler (Harold); niece, Pamela Bonner, and nephew, Greg Fowler. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
