Mrs. Brenda Faye McLamb, age 56, of Rockmart, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, in a Rome hospital.

Mrs. McLamb was born in Rome on December 7, 1959, daughter of the late John Henry Hunter and the late Faye Marie Gosnell Hunter. She was a retired employee of Marglen Industries and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Ralph (Ray) McLamb, III, and by 2 brothers, Larry Ray Hunter and Tommy Sprayberry.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Jenny Hart and her husband, Andrew, Rome, and Tiffany Edwards, Rockmart; 5 sons, Jimmy Hunter and his wife, Samantha, Rome, Michael McLamb, Rockmart, Rodney McLamb and his wife, Jennifer, Summerville, Daryl McLamb and his wife, Tina, Rome, Bobby McLamb, Rome; 4 grandchildren, Bronwynn McLamb, Sean McLamb, Kylee McLamb, and Melody McCormick-Wenz; Eight sisters, Cathy Edwards, Rockmart, Judy Easterwood and her husband, Dale, Rome, Jeannie Childers, Kingston, Darlene Dover and her husband, David, Kingston, Marie Hall and her husband, James, Kingston, Gail Collins and her husband, Scott, Silver Creek, Ramona Phillips and her husband, Ben, Shannon, and Mama Mary Hunter, Kingston; 4 brothers, Jimmy Ray Hunter, Cedartown, Johnny Ray Hunter, Cedartown, Johnny Sprayberry and his wife, Martha, Kingston, and Billy Sprayberry and his wife, Kim, Kingston; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson &n Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Undra Finley officiating. Following the service Mrs. McLamb will be cremated in accordance with her wishes. The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 1pm until the service hour. At other times, they may be contacted at their respective residences.

In lieu of flowers, consult with the family concerning memorial donations.
