A Rome man who allegedly participated in assaulting a woman last month with fellow gang members was arrested late Wednesday, according to Floyd County Jail reports.
According to the reports:
Justin Treyll Silmon, 23, of 100 Cliffview Drive, Apt. 2, is charged with felony criminal gang activity, and misdemeanor battery in connection with the July 8 incident where Silmon and two others at an East 12th Street address.
Reginald Demetrius Chatman, 28, of 616 Moran Lake Road N.E., and Jelissa Marshay Swain, 20, of 72 Bollen Court, were each arrested last month and remain in jail without bond.
According to Silmon’s warrants, the three allegedly identified themselves as Bloods gang members while punched and kicked the victim after she attempted to start a relationship with Swain’s boyfriend.
Silmon is also charged with felony first-degree burglary. A warrant states that he forced a window open and entered 20 Roseway Circle in North Rome earlier in the day on July 8.
He took a Hewlett-Packard laptop valued at approximately $500, a Playstation 3 video game console valued at approximately $300, an iPhone 4 valued at approximately $350, and a Blu cell phone valued at approximately $250.
Silmon is being held without bond.
