One of the two men charged with shooting a Summerville man last week at the Big H convenience store on Thursday was arrested Monday.
Monyea Mico Smith, 29, of 207 E. 14th St., turned himself in. He is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor battery in connection with the shooting.
Arrest warrants for Smith stated he provoked a fight resulting in Christopher Kenyun Atwater shooting the victim. Smith reportedly “made contact of an insulting or provoking nature” with the victim.
Police are still seeking Atwater on aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime charges. Atwater is described as a black male, 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.
Smith was being held without bond Monday night.
