Police seek help finding missing Floyd County man last seen at DeSoto Falls

Police are asking for any information that may help find William Zachary Bishop, 23, a Floyd County man who has been missing since Monday.

Bishop last contacted his family through a text message sent around 3 p.m. Monday implying he might harm himself, Floyd County police investigator Byron McCarley said.

Included in the text message was a picture of Bishop at Desoto Falls in Dekalb County, Alabama.

Park rangers found Bishop’s Honda Civic at the park Monday, and conducted a 130-acre search of the area into Tuesday morning, McCarley said, but found no sign of Bishop.

Bishop is described as 5-foot, 6-inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. He has short blonde hair and red facial hair. His right eye is blue and his left eye is brown.

He has tattoos on his forearms: on the left he has red letters “SiR” and on the right arm a tattoo that reads “pain” from one angle and “love” from another.
