Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd prepares Thanksgiving meals for families

The office at Heyman HospiceCare on the Floyd Medical Center campus turned into a humming assembly line on Wednesday as staff and volunteers packaged Thanksgiving dinners for families served by the organization. The event has become a tradition of servitude and gratitude for all involved. The workers packed about 70 plates of food, including choices of turkey, ham, dressing, sweet potato soufflé, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole and a variety of others.
