Several students at Model Elementary School got personalized stylist service Monday as they went to Seven Hills Salon & Spa to get haircuts.
The program has been going on for eight years and is part of a rewards program at the school. The stylists at Seven Hills volunteer their time, coming in on their off day, according to Model Elementary counselor Sarah Peek.
“They open up just for us,” Peek said.
The 31 students who got haircuts also managed to have some snacks, play games, color and build with blocks as they waited on each other to finish.
“This not only brightens the Christmas season, it helps us teach them manners and also that you don’t always have to do something just so you can get something in return,” Peek said.
