Mrs. Ashley Perry Moss

Ashley Marie Perry and Thomas Hudson Moss IV were married at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at The Chapel at Riverside in Rome.

The bride is the daughter of Christine Fivek Perry of Lakeland, Florida and Randall P. Perry of Adairsville. She is the granddaughter of Anita Fivek, the late Ronald J. Fivek and the late Mary E. Perry. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Moss III of Rome. He is the grandson of Mrs. Tom Moss Jr., the late Dr. Tom Moss Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Cummings.

Minister Brian D’Herde of Bowling Green, Kentucky performed the double-ring ceremony and exchange of vows. Garden urns of pink and white hydrangea, pink and white garden roses, lisianthus, bells-of-Ireland, baby’s breath, sprengeri fern and curly willow branches adorned the altar. Pews were marked with bouquets of baby’s breath.

A program of wedding music was provided by guitarist Benjamin Shanks, brother of the groom, of Atlanta. Selections included “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Canon in D” and “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy.”

The maid of honor was the sister of the groom, Jenna Moss, of Nashville, Tennessee. Jessica Willingham of Summerville was matron of honor. They wore black floor-length gowns of their choosing and gold bracelets which were gifts from the bride. They carried bouquets of baby’s breath tied with burlap.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a formal ivory strapless gown in royal duchess satin with lace overlay. The gown featured a natural waist and scalloped sweetheart neckline. The lace overlay flowed into a chapel length illusion train with scalloped hem. The bride wore a fingertip illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream roses and baby’s breath wrapped in ivory satin.

HM2 Robert (Joe) Sturwold USN, cousin of the groom, of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Blake Perry, brother of the bride, of New Castle, Delaware, served as best men. Oliver Shanks, nephew of the groom, of Atlanta, was the ring bearer.

The mother of the bride wore a formal champagne sleeveless gown with an embroidered round neckline, ruched waist and shirred skirt. The mother of the groom wore a blush floral lace gown with cap sleeves and a satin sash. The mothers and grandmothers were presented with wrist corsages of miniature ivory roses.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the reception hall of The Chapel at Riverside. Refreshments included the bride’s vanilla cake with buttercream icing, a red velvet cake and a chocolate cake.

After their honeymoon, the couple resides in Jacksonville, Florida.
