Hastings - Franks Wedding

Pamela Lynn Franks and Kevin Eugene Hastings were married at 7 p.m. on June 19, 2015 at Rose Hall Event Center in Dallas.

The bride is the daughter of Donnie and Ann Franks of Cedartown. She is the granddaughter of James Boatner of Rome, the late Frances Boatner and the late Lois Franks.    

The groom is the son of Fred and Sue Hastings of Lindale and the late Cynthia White. He is the grandson or Dr. and Mrs. Gene Myers of Decatur and Grace Hastings of Rome.  

Rev. D. L. Woodward of Marietta performed the double-ring ceremony under a white gazebo with a crystal chandelier. Candlelit lanterns held with shepherd hooks and miniature rose bushes lined the aisle.

A program of wedding music included “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Canon in D,” “Bridal Chorus,” “God Bless the Broken Road” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”  

Guests were greeted by the brides niece, Chelsey Johnson, who presented each guest with a program fan, handmade by the bride.  

Kimberly Haney Floyd of Silver Creek, was the maid of honor. Holly Dobson Greene of Rock Spring was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Kari Mills Hurst of Atlanta, Heather Tolbert Chapman of Warwick, Misty Sargent Fields of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Katie Gosa Humphrey of Valdosta.

Junior bridesmaid was Bailey Catherine Hastings. The bridesmaids wore cocktail length strapless gowns of coral chiffon. The junior bridesmaid wore a knee-length gown of coral chiffon. They carried bouquets of ivory and coral roses tied with sheer ivory and coral ribbon.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a strapless gown of ivory satin with lace overlay and scalloped sweetheart neckline. The dress was adorned with a satin crystal beaded sash, which accented the natural waist and finished with a chapel length train. She wore a fingertip-length veil of sheer tulle with beaded crystal edging. Pearl earrings, a gift from the groom, and a ring worn on her right hand, made by the bride’s niece, completed the ensemble. She carried a bouquet of ivory, pink, and coral roses tied with satin ribbon.

Kevin May of Woodstock was the best man. Groomsmen were Fred Hastings, father of the groom, of Lindale, Micah Hastings, brother of the groom, of Silver Creek, Joseph Hastings, brother of the groom, of Covington, and Kipp Buford and David Hayes, both of Rome.

The mother of the bride wore a metallic soutache sheath dress with a jeweled crew neckline and satin trim. The step-mother of the groom wore a full-length ivory gown with a sequin tiered top and chiffon skirt. The mothers were presented with wrist corsages of ivory roses accented with sheer coral ribbon.  

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rose Hall. Refreshments included the bride’s three-tier round cake of vanilla buttercream, accented with rosettes and coral ribbon. The groom was presented with a two-tier chocolate chip cookie cake with the couples’ initials.

The evening before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held at The City Cellar in Cartersville. Other pre-nuptial parties included an Initial Outfitters party hosted by Abby Hastings and Sue Hastings; a lingerie shower hosted by the bridesmaids at the bride’s home, a household shower hosted at the mother of the bride’s home by Jenny Barnes and Amber Boatner, and a miscellaneous shower hosted at Bella Roma by Stacey Rosser, Amy Harkins, Michelle Edmondson, and Chelsea Bass.

The bridesmaids hosted a bachelorette weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. The groomsmen hosted a low-country boil bachelor party at the groom’s home.   

After a honeymoon trip to Castries, St. Lucia, the couple resides in Rome.
