Mrs. Trevor Neal Gilbert

Emily Michelle Holcombe and Trevor Neal Gilbert were married at 5:30 P.M., Saturday May 30, 2015 at Belle Terra in Rome.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmy Holcombe and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Langston. The groom is the son of Karen Gilbert and Robert Gilbert.

Rev. Mac McCurry presided over the double ring ceremony, under an arch decorated in pink and white roses.

A program of ceremony music included, “Cannon in D,” “Bridal March” and “When I say I do.”

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, chose a backless fit-and-flare gown of ivory beaded lace and champagne dolce satin featuring a sweetheart neckline with intricate straps. The fitted bodice flowed into a full skirt with a chapel length train. On her right hand she wore her late great grandmother’s wedding ring. She carried a bouquet of fresh pink hydrangea, roses and peonies.

Stephanie Proffitt, served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaid was Tabitha Seely. Junior bridesmaid was Taylor Abbott.  Attendants wore a one shoulder, cocktail length chiffon gown in rose petal pink with a full A-line skirt. The junior bridesmaid wore a strapless knee-length dress in rose petal pink with a delicate lace bodice. They carried bouquets of white hydrangea balls with a bridal satin shoe lace bow.

Josh Clements served as the best man.  Groomsmen were Trent Gilbert and Ben Peterson. The ring bearer was Andrew Kinter of Pennsylvania, cousin to the groom. Ushers included the bride’s brothers Chris Holcombe and Gracen Holcombe.

The mother of the bride wore a two piece ensemble of ivory lace over mint satin. The illusion neckline cascaded into a deep V-back and lace peplum that flowed over the straight skirt. The mother of the groom wore a knee-length eggplant lace dress with an A-line skirt. The bodice featured a V-neckline that led to a lace covered back with button detail.  The mothers and grandmothers were presented with corsages of light pink roses.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Manor House at Belle Terra.

Refreshments included the bride’s three-tier cake with butter cream icing. The cake was decorated with light pink and antique green hydrangea. The groom’s chocolate cake was topped with butter cream chocolate icing and an Auburn University replica. The bottom of the cake was adorned with chocolate covered strawberries.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Belle Terra.

Other pre-nuptial parties included an engagement party hosted by the maid of honor; a kitchen shower hosted by the bride’s grandmother, Julie Mathis, and aunt Tina Kelly; a ladies shower hosted by the maid of honor; a miscellaneous shower hosted by the bride’s aunt, Linda Jenkins and grandmother, Margaret Johnson, and a miscellaneous shower hosted by Andrea Burk.

The maid of honor hosted a bachelorette party in Panama City Beach, Florida. The groomsmen hosted a bachelor party in Nashville, Tennessee.

After a honeymoon trip to West Palm Beach, Florida, the couple will reside in Rome.
