Symphony to present "A Gospel Christmas"

The Rome Symphony Orchestra will present two performances of “A Gospel Christmas” on Dec. 10

The performances will feature Rome’s Own Gospel Choir directed by Marvin Williams and Jason Smith as well as the Thankful and Lovejoy Baptist Church choirs with special guest Ahmad Hall and Friends.

The concerts will take place at the Rome City Auditorium, 601 Broad St., at 2:30 p.m. as well as 7:30 p.m. and will feature festive holiday favorites for the entire family performed by the full Rome Symphony Orchestra and their special guests.

The program includes traditional music of the season and sing-along Christmas carols.

Dr. Sam Baltzer will conduct.

Advance tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for students and free for kids under 10. Advance tickets are available at Kroger, the Rome Visitors Center, Rome Symphony Orchestra office, Merry Bee Gallery, Living & Giving and online at www.romesymphony.org.

At-door tickets on the day of the concert are $25 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students and free for kids under 10.
