This mother’s day, Rome residents can give a little help and a little hope to loved ones and help the Hospitality House for Women’s.
The special fundraiser allows Rome residents to make a donation to the Hospitality House, a local shelter for victims of domestic abuse, on behalf of a loved one.
For every $20 or more donated on behalf of a mother, sister, daughter or other loved one, Hospitality House will send a specially-designed greeting card and handwritten message letting the person know that a donation has been made on their behalf.
The card features original artwork from Rome native and Darlington School art teacher Jennifer Moore, as well as an inspiring quote by Michaelangelo, chosen by Moore: “I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set her free.”
Hospitality House opened its doors in 1978 as one of the first domestic abuse shelters in Georgia and today, its 27-bed facility provides emergency food, clothing and shelter to victims of dometic violence and their children. All the money raised will stay in the Rome-Floyd County community. To place greeting card orders to for more information about Hospitality House, email email@example.com.
