The tenth annual Rome Beer Festival will return to Heritage Park on Sept. 16, featuring over 150 types of beer from all over the globe.
Presented by The Foundry Growler Station, the event will be held along the banks of the Coosa River from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., and will also showcase local artists, vendors and live music.
“Ticket sales are going great,” said event director, Erica Simpson. “We’ve sold out of the VVIP tickets and VIP tickets are selling fast. We hope to sell out of those by the weekend. My committee and I are thrilled that the community has continued to be so supportive of this event for the past 10 years.”
Simpson said this year’s event will feature special merchandise to honor the 10th anniversary as well as a drawing for beer-themed decor and recreational items.
The Foundry Growler Station is also sponsoring the fifth annual Home Brew Competition, which will honor the best homegrown IPAs, Ambers, Stouts and Porters. The winner of each category will be announced at the festival, and will receive a $100 gift card from the Foundry. Entries can be submitted at the Makervillage, 252 North 5th Ave, Sept. 9.
