Haunted North Georgia

Dogwood Books will host Georgia author Jim Miles for a book signing on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. He will be signing copies of his new books "Haunted North Georgia," "Haunted Central Georgia" and "Haunted South Georgia."

Copies of his other Haunted series books will be available as well.

The books explore supernatural visits and tales of specters and ghosts across Georgia — from hauntings at an old Elberton cotton mill to magical symbols and bones on Lookout Mountain. From ghosts in Oxford with an appetite for biscuits to angry spirits near Augusta and eerie guests at an Inn in Bryan County. In his books, author Jim Miles takes readers on a journey across the state as he delves into some of the more colorful takes and legends such as a Dodge County ghost that twice saved the lives of a family's children and the Hairy Man who still searches a swamp for his long-lost son.

Miles is the author of seven books of the Civil War Explorer Series, "Civil War Sites in Georgia" and two books titled "Weird Georgia." He has also written seven books about Georgia ghosts. He has a bachelor’s degree in history and a Master of Education degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus. He taught high school American history for 31 years.
